Two winners of the 2018 Music Teachers Association of California Concerto Competition perform with the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra: Adora Xiao (winner, Division I, piano, age 11 or younger) in Haydn’s Concerto in D and sister Sunny Xiao (winner, Division II, piano, ages 12 to 14) in Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G minor.
Also in the program are pieces arranged for Mariachi and orchestra, a preview of the joint tour to Japan by the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra and Chorus and Mariachi Juvenil de San Diego.
