Concert of participants from the Winter Chamber Heat (festival) and a warm welcome to singers from Cibus Spiritualis and The Choir Cum Splendore in Ghent, both from Belgium in a joint performance with the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, directed by guest conductor Pascal Lestaeghe.
Chamber works include Brahms’ Piano Quintet in C minor and Liebeslieder-Walzer, Rachminoff’s Two Pieces for piano 6-hands, Shostakovich’s Five Pieces for two violins and piano, Ewazen’s Mosaics for flute, bassoon, and marimba, and Davydov’s Concerto Grosso for flute, oboe, percussion and strings.
Choral works include selections from Garcia’s Missa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição (1810) and Chan’s Te Deum (1992).
