A lecture-performance commemorating the 60th death Anniversary of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959). Program includes works for solo guitar, solo piano, Choros No. 2 for flute and clarinet, and Bachianas brasileiras No. 5 arranged for soprano, guitar, and cello.
With special presenter, Dr. Silvio dos Santos on “Villa-Lobos and the Brazilian Musical Imagination.”
Second performance on Sunday, November 17 at 7 p.m., St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1450 S Melrose Dr, Oceanside.
